If you are tired of big bloated Nero, and you want to create/edit CD ISO images
(even replacing UltraIso !), then this one is The Best Burning software for you.
It does everything that Nero Portable (I've used untill now) does and much more:
1. Easy and friendly interface. gBurner supports context menu, drag and drop, clipboard copy and paste...
2. Create and burn data/audio CD and DVD.
of the most popular disc types:
CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-R DL,
DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL, DVD-RAM
3. Create multisession CD/DVD.
4. Make bootable CD/DVD
5. Burn (and simulate burning) of data, audio and video image file (+verification)
6. Copy CD/DVD (+On The Fly method)
7. Rip audio CD to mp3
8. Erase rewritable disc
9. Disk and Drive information
And here is the news, and the things Nero cannot do:
10. Open, create, extract, edit and convert ISO/BIN Image file.
gBurner can convert almost all image file formats to ISO/BIN image file format.
For my needs, gBurner also replaces UltraIso as an image editor !
11. Optimize file layout to save disc space
12. weighs only 1.5 MB before installation and only 2.5 MB after installation !
That's 10% of the smallest Micro/Lite version of Nero !
Two small shortcoming compared to Nero:
1. No folder size easily visible on the compilation window
You can still get it by right-clicking folders > Information
2. No Mp3Pro encoder to downsize ripped audio>mp3 files
But you must agree with me, these are minor and easily replaceable.
